Rosemary Ross Babiarz passed away in October this year. She was 48 years old and left behind a loving family, and many fond friends.
She didn't want to have a funeral service, so her family decided to have a gathering at Chris' house in Surrey, BC in order to celebrate her life.
Friends and family from all over the US and Canada arrived to share good memories, funny stories, and reflect on happy times spent with Rosemary over the years.
Tears flowed when Nick read his speech to the guests, and talked about how much he loved and missed his mom. Jacqueline and Nicole also read speeches, and spoke of how close they were to their "second mom". Her brother Robert also spoke, talking of how much she meant to him and the family.
Afterward, people mingled around more and the mood was a mix of happiness and sadness. "Elliot the Crowd-pleaser" did his best to cheer people up. He made the rounds, smiling, giggling, smirking, and using his charm to great effect.
It was really good to see all the people come out to pay their respects, and it was particularly good for her children to see everyone and hear so many good memories of their mom.

Nick's sister, Mackenzie wipes some of the tears away from her brother's face during his speech.
Later, Elliot tries to cheer Nick up a little by playing peek-a-boo.

All the cousins squeeze together for a group shot outside the Carey home.

Chris comes in for kisses and Elliot laughs each time.

Nick's girlfriend, Kelsey pauses from surveying the desserts to smile.

Nick reflects on his thoughts and talks about how much he'll miss his mom. His speech was incredibly moving and affected all who were there.

Dozens of photos were arranged on the wall for all the guests to look over. Here's Michael and Nicole taking some time to remember Rosemary.

Nick, Michael, Andrew, and Kevin take a minute to re-create their famous "wedding shot" from a few years ago.
Here's the wedding shot from 2002:

Nicole rides Elliot around the house so he can meet more of the guests. He's quite the little social butterfly.

Elliot sees his grandpa Ross and smiles.

Alexander took this shot of the two of us, shich was really cool, because we don't get many good photos taken of just us. Thanks, Alex!
